Directions to Elder Park from NJ Turnpike
Take NJ turnpike North or South to Exit 11. After toll stay right to enter Garden State Parkway North. Take Parkway to Exit 131. At the end of the exit ramp stay RIGHT onto Route 27 South (Lincoln Highway). Proceed to traffic light at Wood Ave (first major intersection) and turn RIGHT. Continue to second light and turn LEFT onto New Dover Rd. Continue to next pair of lights (Grove Ave, St Helena's Church on right) and turn RIGHT onto Grove Ave. Proceed approx. 1 mile and look for Minnie B. Veal Recreation Center (one story building) with a parking lot just before it. Turn RIGHT into lot using first entrance. (If you reach the traffic light at Inman Ave, then you've gone too far.) Field is through trees, straight back from street.

Directions to Elder Park from Garden State Parkway
Take Garden State Parkway to exit 131. At the end of the exit ramp stay RIGHT onto Route 27 South (Lincoln Highway). Proceed to traffic light at Wood Ave (first major intersection) and turn RIGHT. Directions to Elder Park from Interstate 287 Northbound
From Route 287 North - exit at Route 27 North (Exit 2a). Once you are on Route 27 immediately turn LEFT at light onto Bridge St. Continue to end and turn RIGHT onto New Durham Rd. Immediately turn LEFT at traffic light onto John St. Continue to end and turn RIGHT onto Durham Ave. At next traffic light turn LEFT onto Central Ave. Continue through four traffic lights. (After first light Central becomes Plainfield Rd. Second light is Park Ave. Third light is Stephenville Pkwy. After fourth light, at Oak Tree Rd, Plainfield becomes New Dover Rd.) Follow New Dover Rd, which curves to the right and continue approx. 1 mile to first light. At light turn LEFT onto Grove Ave (after turning St. Helena's Church will be on your right). Proceed approx. 1 mile and look for Minnie B. Veal Recreation Center (one story building) with a parking lot just before it. Turn RIGHT into lot using first entrance. From Route 287 South take Exit 3/Metuchen/New Durham. Turn LEFT at traffic light at end of exit ramp onto New Durham Rd. Proceed 1/4 mile and turn LEFT in front of Shell Station onto Durham Ave. Travel about 1/2 mile on Durham Ave and at first traffic light turn LEFT onto Central Ave. Continue through four traffic lights. (After first light Central becomes Plainfield Rd. Second light is Park Ave. Third light is Stephenville Pkwy. After fourth light, at Oak Tree Rd, Plainfield becomes New Dover Rd.) From Route 1 North take Metuchen exit (shortly after BJ's Wholesale Club) which puts you on Main St. At third traffic light turn LEFT onto Route 27/Middlesex Ave. At second traffic light (these two lights are extremely close together) turn RIGHT onto Central Ave. Continue through five traffic lights. (After second light Central becomes Plainfield Rd. Third light is Park Ave. Fourth light is Stephenville Pkwy. After fifth light, at Oak Tree Rd, Plainfield becomes New Dover Rd.) Follow New Dover Rd, which curves to the right and continue approx. 1 mile to first light. At light turn LEFT onto Grove Ave (after turning St. Helena's Church will be on your right).
