EUSA often hosts a USSF F‑License class for volunteers who wish to become certified. This certification is required by many leagues and clubs in the State of NJ. All F‑License classes in the State of NJ are offered by NJ Youth Soccer and you must be coaching for a club that is affiliated with NJYS in order to participate in this class.
EUSA usually holds three classes each year: one for the Spring season, and two for the Fall season. Each class is 9 hours long and takes place over three nights:
Night 1 – Classroom Discussion
Night 2 – Practical Instruction - Skills and Drills Pt. 1
Night 3 – Practical Instruction - Skills and Drills Pt. 2
Each night’s class is 3 hours long, typically starting at 6:30pm and ending at 9:30pm. You must participate on all three nights in order to receive your certificate from NJYS.
RESERVING YOUR SPOT
You may register for a class that is available by using EUSA’s On‑Line Registration service (OLR). This system requires that you make your payment using a VISA or MasterCard. The cost to register is $32 ($30 for the class and a $2 registration service fee). Using the OLR service will allow you to be immediately registered for the class (if space is available). If you wish to pay by check, you must first email EUSA at flic@edisonunitedsoccer.com to see if space is available in the class. If space is available, you will be instructed to mail a check for $32 to EUSA as soon as possible. Only when your check has been received will your spot be confirmed. Given the popularity of the schedule used by EUSA, we strongly recommend that you use our OLR service.
NOTE: All F-License classes are restricted to no more than 40 people per instructor/class. EUSA’s classes only have 1 instructor. Our OLR service will allow the first 40 people to register for the class normally. After the 40th person has registered, the system will take your information, but it will not charge you for the registration.
MAKING YOUR REGISTRATION
EUSA’s OLR service is normally used to register players for our programs. When registering for one of our F-License courses, please enter all of the required information, but do it in the following fashion:
Please enter your household information normally. NJYS will mail your F-License certificate directly to your house. Please make sure that you include a phone number and email address so that we may contact you in case there are changes in the class location. NJYS also requires us to collect this information so that they may properly enter your information into their records.
When you need to enter your name, you will use the Player’s Information screen do to this. Please enter the data as follows:

When you enter the PARENT’S INFORMATION you should enter your name again as well as a cell phone number; again as a precaution in case EUSA needs to contact you regarding the class (we will NOT pass your cell phone number along to NJYS).
SPECIAL NOTE FOR EUSA COACHES ONLY: As you should have already registered your child for our program, please register for the F-License class by creating a new "child" that has your name and birthdate information. Select the F-License class that you wish to attend and complete your registration as you did when you signed your child up for our soccer programs.
Once you have been registered, you will receive directions to the class. Only those people who are registered for the class will be given this information.
