Group Training Expectations: Players at this stage have vastly developed their technical, tactical, physical, and psychosocial capabilities. Trainings have a unique degree of high intensity. The environment itself is constantly demanding. all prior fundamentals have prepared players for this high level experience. Players can move the ball within 1-2 touches, understand the game tactically, and possess an innate ability to engage in 1v1 situations. Speed of play is stressed.
Training Length: 1 hour + 30 minutes
Trainings per week: 2 – Mon/Wed
Training Break Down
10 minutes: Unopposed technical work. Technique will apply to focus of subsequent plans/tactical focus of the session
10 minutes: Rondos – Players engage in possession based 5v1 games
20 minutes: Expanded Rondo play – Rondos become more directional/transitional. Tactical aspects of the game are introduced. Ratios have slightly grown. Players are getting continuing to receive maximal touches.
20 minutes: Small Sided Game - Numbers have become more realistic to the game. Play is now completely directional. Less restrictions are required. Tactics are further examined.
30 minutes: 9v9 Scrimmage - Numbers are now even. Rules of the scrimmage are the same as the laws of the game. Coaches stress tactics learned within the session.
