The MS/3 (Micro Soccer / 3) Division is the oldest age group in the Micro Soccer Program. It is in this division that players are introduced to the traditional positions and roles that players have in the game of soccer (e.g., forward, midfield, defender, goalkeeper). The field that these players use is smaller than that found in the RL/5 division, allowing the younger players to become familiar with how a soccer field is laid out. Being that this is the first division that the position of goalkeeper is introduced to the players, there are special rules that are observed that make it easier to teach and encourage proper player development. Boys and girls play in different groups.
Teams have between 10 and 12 players. Teams practice during the week.
Games take place on Saturdays. Every game consists of four (4) 15 minute quarters.
Currently, all games for this division are played at Martin Luther King School.
