The MS/2 (Micro-Soccer / 2) Division is the youngest age group where children are placed onto smaller specific teams, rather than the larger squads used by those children in Kindergarten (MS/K) and 1st Grade (MS/1). It is in the 2nd grade that players can really take what they’ve learned in previous seasons and begin to learn the basics of teamwork that they will need in future seasons.
In the MS/2 Division, a person volunteering to be Head Coach leads the team during practice and game sessions. The Head Coach can be aided by 1 or 2 Assistant Coaches. Teams in this age group use small fields and portable pop-up goals that help to emphasize ball control in a way that younger players can more easily deal with. There will be a 45 min.
