The RL/5 (Rec League / 5) Division is the youngest age group in the Rec League.  This is the first division where players begin to play the game of soccer using most of the rules that are observed by professional teams around the world.  This group plays on the medium-sized fields and uses the 8 vs. 8 format found in youth soccer programs around the world.

Children in the 4th and 5th grades play together on the same teams. 

 Boys and girls play in different groups.

Teams have between 11 and 13 players.

Teams practice during the week.

Games take place on Saturdays. Every game consists of four (4) 15 minute quarters.

Currently, games for this division are played at several locations depending on the number of teams and the condition of the fields that Edison Township makes available to us.
