St. Francis is currently collecting donations of gently used youth sports equipment for orphans between the ages of 2 and 15. If you are interested, your donations can be dropped off this Saturday at James Madison Intermediate School field (at the back of the school) from 9am until 1:30PM.
Dear Parents,
I am collecting used sporting equipment to donate to a children's home in , Africa through the
St. Francis School
. All donations are needed by June 10, 2007. The home is called Rift Valley Children's Village and it houses orphaned children between the ages of 2 to 15.
To accommodate parents I am setting up a collection area at the
James
Madison
Middle School
, off
New Dover Road
past
St. Helena
’s Church, on Saturday June 9, 2007, where all donations can be dropped off.
I am asking parents to leave equipment at the rear of the school building, which faces the soccer fields.
If it happens to be raining I ask that parents leave the equipment under the awning on the right side of the building as viewed from the soccer fields.
I will pick up all donations after the 1:30 PM game is over.
Some suggestions for used equipment are:
Soccer balls or other sport balls, cleats, uniforms, and baseball mitts.
Thank you very much for your generosity,
Keith Koenig
