Travel Tryouts for the 2008-2009 season announced
Eusa has openings on all teams and looking for more players
For those who have not played travel soccer before, travel is the next level of soccer available to the youth player after the recreational/ instructional environment within the club. Where a recreational team will practice once per week and have a game in town on Saturday, travel teams practice twice per week and have a game on Sunday. Travel teams will train once per week with a professional trainer during the season. Our travel teams play other towns from around the mid- New Jersey area. There will be 10 games in the fall season and another 10 games in the spring season. Typically there are 5 away games per season, as well as 5 home games in Edison and the 5 away games may involve traveling up to an hour away. Additionally two tournaments per year are provided for by the club. Some teams elect to supplement the training with additional sessions at additional cost. Additional training and tournaments are arranged on a team by team basis within the team.

A few months ago We EUSA had asked parents to complete a coaches evaluation survey. As an incentive to fill it out there would be a randomly pulled name from all families that had complete the survey. EUSA had its annual director’s dinner on March 1st and a winner was chosen by Edie Prescod (Clif’s Wife).

EUSA IS MOVING FORWARD
EUSA has over 2,200 children each season involved in recreation, micro and travel soccer. Our children’s and our community’s overall safety is always a priority. In our continued efforts at the EUSA to be pro-active regarding safety for our children and the community, we will be performing background checks on all coaches in the recreation, micro and travel divisions starting in the 2008 Season. We are one of the first youth organization in EdisonTownship to voluntarily do so.
EUSA is a very large club. Over the course of a year (two seasons) EUSA has about 2,100 children who participate in one of three programs. As such parents are going to have a lot of questions about the organization and how their children might be able to participate. Answers to any questions you may have can be found if you look at the SITE CONTENTS panel on the left and click on the appropriate link for more information.
